Frequently Asked Questions
Angels are not starched!? How can this be!?
Angels are not starched. I have quite tight tension when I crochet which is why I don’t need to starch them. I put tissue paper in the skirts when I package the angels up. Please, when you take the angels out, the angels are not meant to keep the tissue paper stuffed up their skirts. ;) So please remove the tissue paper. :D
Shipping and handling?
I ship on Thursdays. Canada Post will take 7 - 10 business days. USPS to the lower 48 States will take 2 - 5 business days. USPS to Alaska and Hawaii will take 10 - 20 business days. I will send you an email confirmation that your parcel is on its way. Please, if you don’t receive your pkg, let me know. I have shipped with Canada Post and USPS for a few yrs now and I have never had an issue. Any angels bought after Tuesday night at 11:59 mountain standard time will not processed for shipping that Thursday. Those angels bought on that Tuesday will ship on the Thursday, 8 days later.
Canceling an item?
Yes. Up until 11:59 pm on Tuesday night. After that, your angel will ship. Once it ships, you can return it with the processing fee(s) described below.
Free shipping?
Yes, you read that right. I hate paying for shipping, so I have tried to work that cost in for you. I hate hidden fees and blah, blah, blah, so I am trying to be as upfront and honest as I can be.
Insurance on your package?
Absolutely. If you want. Choose it when you are checking out. But I have never used insurance on my envelopes. None have had any been lost. But that is not to say it can’t happen, particularly around Christmas time.
How often will new angels be available to buy?
Once a month I will be listing a new style of 100 angels to buy. Once an angel is sold, it is gone. Altho before Christmas, I will be listing 6 different angels (600 angels total). I would suggest that you follow the facebook page as that is where I will update when I have added new angels to sell. If you sign up for emails, you will get an email when I list a new set of angels.
Only angels?
Maybe, but probably not. My daughter loves to crochet. But she likes to make clothing. So if I can convince her, you might see some of her creations appearing. She made a beautiful bikini with an bone feather pendant hanging from the center of the bikini top. If you would be interested in something like that, let me know. And right now, I am playing with anklets. To see pics of those, please visit the facebook page.
Special Orders?
Yes! If there is enough interest, I could set up a special order page. Unless it becomes too much work for me, ie. the customer determining the style of angel, the color of beads and what the angel is going to be holding. Oof. That could end up being a lot of work for me. So… it would have to be very worth my time. But if you look at the post on the Bellissima Crochet facebook page about the angel for my sister’s birthday, the only way I would sell an angel with a charm like that would be through special order. But I consider that angel, well, special.
Contact me?
For sure. There are 2 ways to contact me. Email me at bellissimacrochet@gmail.com or comment on one of my facebook posts on the Bellissima Crochet page. I try not to be on facebook much, because it can suck me in. Reels. Yeesh. And I waste too much time.
Returns?
Yes! You will need to pay to ship it back to me, envelope and postage. I will expect it to be shipped back in a similar padded envelope. If it does not return in a padded envelope, I will add a processing fee of 15% for the damage done to the angel in a non-padded envelope. There will be a processing fee of 15% to cover my handling and shipping fees when I shipped the angel to you. Once I have received it, I will issue you a refund.
Color accuracy of the angels?
This has been the hardest part of selling my angels. I could pay to have the angels photographed. But because I am not mass-producing identical ones, the cost/angel would sky-rocket. We, my daughter and I, finally found a solution with a good iphone (seems iphones take color accurate photos). Then learning how to set up the “studio”, well, that has taken 18 months. And my daughter abandoning me to the task. ;) The photos are accurate. So please, when choosing your angel(s), make sure that your screen color settings are at default. This will ensure that you will not be surprised by the color of the angel when you open up the parcel. The vibrant royal blue is stunning as is the stunning maroon.
